Combustion Technology keeps up to date with improvements in the industry

Combustion Technology is ensuring that their engineers are keeping up to date on all things new in the industry and last month spent valuable time on training and learning all the new combustion regulations of the industry.  Two scored 100% on their assessment and the other three over 80%!

Combustion Technology will also be hosting six engineers in Cape Town during November for further training.

We are pleased to announce that five of our engineers have flown off to Autoflame in England for training. These are Dewald Lubbe, Devon Muller, Victor Sylvester, Amier Peck and Ronald Mavunda. They will be attending Autoflame training until 5 November and one days training at Limpsfield on 6 November.

Devon Muller is from Kei Boilers in Port Elizabeth. All are looking forward to visiting the UK and expanding their knowledge of the Autoflame system.

Tickets are selling well for the Table Mountain Blues Summit which is happening on Saturday 22 November from 15:00 until midnight at the Bloemendal Wine Farm in Durbanville.

Combustion Technology is a major sponsor of this event for the second year running.  "We believe in South African music and are very pleased that we are able to support this amazing event displaying South African blues music!" says Grant Renecle.

The Boulevard Blues will also be performing during the afternoon at Spier Wine Estate on 15 November, before Combustion Technology's Year End Function.  We are hoping that the weather will behave itself this year so that the blues session can be held outside in the beautiful surroundings of Spier. This concert is open to the general public.

We also have it on very good authority that Grant will be joining the band on stage for a few numbers. Many of you will remember Grant's performance last year, late in the evening, at the function! We look forward to the performance!

Combustion Technology has been awarded a contract to install one of the largest boilers in the country - a 15 ton boiler for Clover Danone.  Garioni Naval supplied Clover Danone in France and the installation was highly successful. 

This boiler will be the biggest boiler in South Africa to date.

We will report further on the milestone project during 2009.

Combustion Technology is, in the meantime, working on a massive 40 ton boiler! The company is working very hard trying to ensure that the project happens during 2009!

Combustion Technology is the proud sponsor of the latest DVD from the Boulevard Blues Band titled "Railhouse Tracks". The DVD is available at all the Boulevard Blues gigs and via their website www.boulevardblues.co.za.

The Boulevard Blues will also be interviewed on KFM Homebrew with Zane Derbyshire, on Sunday 16 November 2008. The show airs on 94.5 FM between six and eight in the evening.

We have successfully reduced fuel bills at over 100 companies around South Africa, where fuel savings of between 15 and 58% have been experienced!

• Lutzville Vineyards on the West Coast managed to recoup their capital outlay in just three months instead of the projected three years!
• Rooibos Tea reduced their fuel bill by 58% within the first year of installation!
• Nova Feeds in George reduced their intake of paraffin by 50% - from 8000 litres to 4000 litres - per week!
