GLOBAL PORTS
Severe delays and congestions are currently being experienced in global ports. Shipping lines have reduced sizes and frequency of vessels sailing to S.A.
Northern European ports such as Hamburg, Rotterdam and Le Havre have been affected since the majority of vessels destined for Russian ports have had to turn around and discharge at alternative ports.
This is causing huge bottle necks and hampering normal exports and bookings for intended vessels to S.A. Cargo containers are not turned around on schedule and remain packed with goods for extended periods, either onboard ships or at transshipment ports.
TRUCKING IN EUROPE
Due to Brexit, the trucking situation in Europe and the UK has become very difficult as non-UK citizens had to return to their countries of origin. Many German and Ukrainian truck drivers also had to return due to the war which is causing even further logistical problems.
